( ;D --> Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti formed CHRIS & COSEY out of the ashes of their seminal 70s' Industrial band Throbbing Gristle. Throbbing Gristle (and Carter/Tutti) founded the Industrial music genre and were one of the first bands to successfully fuse electronic and acoustic instrumentation. Their musical legacy is still very much in evidence today. When Throbbing Gristle was terminated in 1981 Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti signed to Rough Trade Records and began recording and performing as CHRIS & COSEY. From the very start they indulgently utilised electronics, sampling, rhythms and Cosey's distinctive vocals, cornet and guitar style. In 1982 (and in collaboration with Rough Trade) they formed their own offshoot record label Conspiracy International (aka: CTI) for their more experimental recordings and collaborative projects. CTI continues to run alongside CARTER and TUTTI's more accessible work.)

It’s a rather classical electro formula, but the album makes sense for featuring multiple alluring cuts. Embryoid sounds powerful and extremely cold. A few songs remind me –especially for the bass lines to Leather Strip and that’s much more than simply a reference. Embryoid is not innovating, but simply composing an alluring work. The songs are well-crafted and the global production is mature. I also like the vocals production, which is moving in between typical hard and distorted parts and spookier, whispering parts.)

After his acid house debut on Pumpking records in 1996, Sound of Barclay records released the "Sense Juice" and "Gourmet EPs" under the name Jackson & His Computer Band. In 2003 his fourth single, album opener "Utopia" was released. "Utopia" and "Radio Caca" feature vocals by his mother, birdpaula, a folk and blues singer. Warp Records picked up on these tracks, released on French imprint Sound Of Barclay, and signed him. "Utopia" from the album Smash, was used in the O2 ‘bubble’ ad campaign. ( ;D --> The duo was officially formed in 1993 by Erik Garcia a.k.a. Erk Aicrag (lyrics and vocals) and Oscar Mayorga a.k.a. Racso Agroyam (Programming), but both cousins had been experimenting with electronic music, mixing industrial and EBM, since they were fifteen years old. Their music can be described as electro-industrial. Erk Aircrag and Racso Agroyam incited to express their feelings through technology. Given the influence of varying currents of electronic music (mainly Skinny Puppy) they began their trajectory in 1989 in a project called "Niñera Degenerada". Their lyrics are both in Spanish as well as English. The Spanish word hocico means snout, and is used in Mexico as a disrespectful way to describe someone's comments coming out of their mouth.)
