( ;D --> Although his music is often consigned to the new age bins of record stores and the bulk of his work has been released on labels more closely associated with that classification, Robert Rich's solo and collaborative recordings have proven extremely influential on a range of new-school ambient and experimental artists. His association with older space music pioneers such as Steve Roach, Kevin Braheny, and Michael Stearns also makes him one of the few of that generation to have interfaced creatively with the new wave of experimental electronic composers. A California native, Rich began experimenting with electronics in the late '70s before attending Stanford University, where he completed a degree in psychology. While at Stanford, Rich's involvement in the university's prestigious Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics expanded his interest in electronic composition, as well as bringing him in contact with a wide range of nontraditional, non-Western musical ideas. Rich's performance of several all-night "sleep concerts" during this period also helped solidify an aesthetic focus on psychoacoustics, perceptible in early recordings such as Geometry and Trances/Drones.)

( ;D --> Alec Stark; A few months ago I discovered almost by chance Biosoft Records. I love the music of Cygnus and was looking for his releases on Discogs and I found his label. I also checked his Bandcamp and there I discovered Patronen. I have this sensation with only a handful of artists, I mean, to have the feeling that I’m listening to a perfect album. Then I read the info about how Patronen contacted Biosoft Records and immediately I wrote to Victoria Lukas because I thought she may know Cygnus and maybe would be a good way to know more about Patronen. Victoria felt something similar… Its incredible, but who is he?… It’s easy to imagine what came next, I contacted Biosoft Recs but getting contact information for Patronen wasn't so easy. All they had was his e-mail and Patronen writes only a few words from time to time. Today I think they are in the same place as I am now; we still don’t know anything about who is behind the name of Patronen.)

Chapman has done time as Keyboard player in trashy garage rock band The Midways, and served as award winning hip-hop producer Peter Project producing, Djing, and Battling. In 2010 he beat 31 other producers and took first place in Toronto's first live beat battle in which producers were going head to head in live hip-hop production battles, showcasing their slick production and live composition abilities. After putting putting hip-hop production on hiatus, Peter went back to his love of antiquated drum machines and synthesizers to create COINS. A loud awesome explosion of Electro House.
