( ;D --> Minuit Machine, a synth wave band based in Paris, is the association of Hélène de Thoury’s electronic melodies and Amandine Stioui’s vocals. The project was born in september 2013. The sound of the french duo, based on powerful electronic drums and the accumulation of dark synth lines, is a mix between all their inspirations that range from minimal wave to electronic rock.)

Agent Side Grinder
www.agentsidegrinder.com
( ;D --> Agent Side Grinder’s slick and gritty modern take on the minimal wave, post-punk, and industrial sound(s) of yesteryear come alive in a stripped, cold, and pop-like fashion on the act’s newest album Hardware. “On this record, ASG once again steps into their musical time-machine, has a rendezvous with old masters such as Kraftwerk, Einsturzende Neubaten and Depeche Mode and invite them all on a reckless, rhythmic journey into a bleak future.” While a fitting description of Hardware from the Agent Side Grinder website, its own legs extend more than that of its expected retro drapes.)

( ;D --> For over 15 years Paula Temple has been pursuing her own unique musical path. As a self-confessed noisician she specialises in a noisy, phantasmagoric techno sound, where the dial is rarely turned below 200% and every moment of silence seems deafening. Such refreshing high voltage music has placed Paula at the forefront of today's techno scene.)

UnicaZürn
www.unicazurn.com/
( ;D --> UnicaZürn are: Stephen Thrower (Cyclobe; Coil) and David Knight (Arkkon; Shock Headed Peters; Danielle Dax; Lydia Lunch) Both are also members of the improvisation group The Amal Gamal Ensemble.UnicaZürn’s core musical instrumentation is processed electric guitar, clarinet and saxophone. Knight is renowned for his pulverising fretwork in Shock Headed Peters, and his cavernous guitar treatments in Arkkon; Thrower’s reed playing provided a distinctive ‘free-melancholy’ in Coil and emerges as electro-acoustic texture in Cyclobe. To this duophonic arrangement, UnicaZürn add copious analogue synthesizer, mellotron and piano, with influences echoing back through Tangerine Dream’s early albums to the VCS3 days of Roxy Music. UnicaZürn offer a deeply immersive music which hovers at the brink of abstraction, seeking to conjure at that threshold fantastical coastlines and subterranean narratives in the mind’s eye.)

Alex Banks

( ;D --> Alex Banks’ musical mission is going into overdrive. After building a hefty reputation via killer DJs sets across Europe and a few extraordinary remixes (Bonobo, Husky Rescue, Andreya Triana etc), he’s now signed to Monkeytown, the label owned by doyens of German electronic/club music, Modeselektor. His talents are showcased on the album, ‘Illuminate’. Two years in the making, it’s the culmination of Banks’ initial aspirations, at once rich in production artistry but ready for the dancefloor, seasoned with melodies and the leaping vocals of Gazelle Twin’s Elizabeth Bernholz, yet boasting a sonic heft and ambition on a par with the likes of Jon Hopkins, Daniel Avery and Nicolas Jaar.)
