Flavor of the Week #30

Implant

www.implant-music.be
( ;D --> Implant, the project of LEN LEMEIRE, has been trying to contribute to the already massive inheritance of the Belgian electronic scene since 1992. 8 full length albums, 7 EP’s, uncountable remixes and several productions later, one can only agree that the music itself is the universal language. It was because of his music that Len teamed up with several of the early pioneers of electronic music. When ANNE CLARK heard Len’s remix for ‘Sleeper in Metropolis’, Implant became the electronic live band of ANNE CLARK for 5 years, resulting in guest contributions of Anne on 2 albums (‘Audio Blender’ and ‘Self Inflicted’). When Jean-Luc de Meyer (FRONT 242) heard an implant track, he decided not only to contribute vocals for 1 track, but a full blown new project was born under the flag of 32CRASH.)

( ;D --> Vitalic is the alter ego of Pascal Arbez, a French programmer/multi-instrumentalist who blends electro, techno, and house -- as well as elements of classical, rock, Italo-disco, and '70s electronic music -- into a sound that recalls the work of fellow countrymen Daft Punk and Air, but has its own hard-edged playfulness. Arbez played trombone as a child and young adult, but became fascinated with dance music when he heard Daft Punk in the mid-'90s. Inspired by them as well as Giorgio Moroder, Arbez switched to analog synths and began writing and recording as Dima.)

( ;D --> Cecilia and Adriano are passionate storytellers using dark, pulsating music as their primary medium. Over the past year, Echoberyl has carved out a very personal space in the dark scene thanks to tracks with a distinctive personality, powerful sounds and melancholy melodies. Songs full of fascinating, scary, sensual, multifaceted female characters to reflect on the present and on our destiny.)
