Ioan Gamboa (Kill Minimal)
www.myspace.com/ioangamboa
http://ioangamboa.com/
( ;D --> Ioan Gamboa is the chosen name by Kill minimal to identify his current music style, a sound way more closer to his melodic roots that matches a new stage in his artistic search. Nowadays Ioan Gamboa has settled his Studio in Berlin where he is absorbing, at first hand, the flowing energy of this rockin city.  As Kill minimal he has already released on a wide range of electro...nic music labels all over the world (Spain, Germany, Italy, Uk, Canada..), and some of his latest tracks have been supported by artists like Richie Hawtin (Minus/Plus 8), Hernan Cattaneo (Sudbeat/Renaissance), Xpansul (Plus 8/Ovum) or Marc Antona (Mobilee/Highgrade Rec.).)

( ;D --> With 13 years of DJ experience, he is regarded as a perfectionist in his Live sets and behind the decks layering his tracks in a very detailed and hypnotic manner. Luke has played at notable venues and events such as Culture Box (Copenhagen), Panorama Bar (Berlin), Unit (Tokyo), Detroit Electronic Music Festival (Detroit), Fabric (London), The End Up (San Francisco), Golden Pudel (Hamburg), Sirup (Zagreb), Weekend Club (Berlin), Cubic Club (Madrid), and The Bunker (NYC). Luke’s continued hard work behind the decks and in the studio combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.)

( ;D --> Most definitely one of the most touching and well executed albums I've heard in recent years. This one really has it all: it's reinterpretation as much as it's innovation, as much as the music gets recomposed, it also gets reconstructed from scratch. I have listened to other releases where electronic and classical music come together, but the studio chemistry Moritz Von Oswald and Carl Craig have must exceed them all!)

Plaid
( ;D --> One of my absolute favourite artists)
www.plaid.co.uk
( ;D --> Plaid is a British electronic music duo comprising Andy Turner and Ed Handley, and based out of London. They are former members of The Black Dog and used many other names, such as Atypic (Andrew Turner) and Balil (Ed Handley), before settling on Plaid. They have collaborated with female singers Mara Carlyle, Nicolette and Björk. Although Plaid pre-existed the association, the duo's Ed Handley and Andy Turner spent most of their early recording years with Ken Downie as the dancefloor-confounding Black Dog Productions. Meshing well with Downie's vision of heavily hybridized post-techno and obscurantist thematics.)

http://bleep.com/index.php?page=release_details&releaseid=31369
( ;D --> The CD will be initially available in a ‘Muda na Mono’ puzzle pack, the name taken from a Japanese phrase meaning ‘pointless object’. It contains two die-cut rings and a CD which can be assembled as per the diagram above. If correctly aligned, the sphere created allows the track titles to be read. The packaging reflects a desire to give the CD an ornamental function, beyond its one use as a basic storage device for music.)

ASC
http://theasc.blogspot.com
http://soundcloud.com/auxiliarylabel
( ;D --> ACS is rapidly becoming one of the most important names in electronic music. I'm not a massive fan of his older, more conventional drum 'n bass material, but in the last couple of years Clements has found an outlet for a much more ambient and experimental direction. Obviously the hype centres around his role in the Autonomic sound, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Melding ambient and IDM with drum 'n bass, dubstep, techno and a huge obsession with science fiction culture and philosophy, ASC is making some of the most cutting edge music around that still evokes the spaced-out futurism that has defined so much of electronic music for the past 40 years.)

He was one of the biggest names of the "Neue Deutsche Welle" (New German Wave), of which performers like Nena and Falco were also a part. He made a big comeback at the end of the nineties, when he scored a major hit with "Die Flut", a duet with Peter Heppner, the singer of popular German synth pop group Wolfsheim. Witt's album "Bayreuth 1" (1998) scored platinum in Germany and Austria. "Bayreuth 2" followed two years later. He has collaborated with such artists as Apocalyptica, Oomph!, Angelzoom, Tilo Wolff of Lacrimosa and just recently, German Electropop group Purwien as well.)

GusGus' music is eclectic, and although primarily classified with techno, trip-hop and house music, they have experimented with numerous other styles. They have also remixed several famous artists, including Björk, Depeche Mode, Moloko, and Sigur Rós. Added to this they released the song "Desire" with Ian Brown in January 2004. A remix of the track "Purple" appeared in remixed form on Paul Oakenfold's successful trance compilation called Tranceport. The band's name refers to the 1974 German film Ali: Fear Eats the Soul by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, where a female character is cooking couscous for her lover, pronouncing it "Gus Gus".)
