( ;D --> Hardfloor is a German techno duo, consisting of Oliver Bondzio and Ramon Zenker. Their most famous track is "Acperience 1" (titled simply "Acperience" on many compilations). Their distinctive acid house sound is credited to their virtuoso skill at manipulating Roland TB-303 bass synthesisers, they reputedly use up to six of these machines at once.)

IC 434

www.facebook.com/ic434
( ;D --> Formed in 1994 by Geert de Wilde as one of the first Belgian authentic dark electro bands, IC 434 quickly got signed on Dirk Ivens' revitalized Body Records label. Well known for their strong live act, the band collaborated over the years with a whole list of people such as Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe (Empusae), Johan Van Roy (Suicide Commando) and Guy Van Mieghem (as Geert joined Vomito Negro in the early 2000's).)

( ;D --> Infacted Recordings announces the release of the 5th album of the Belgian electro project IC 434. The album will be out on December the 9th, 2011. The album is the first since the 2008 album "Bacteriate". With a band name referring to a galactic cloud, the new material deals again with subjects as society criticism, animal abuse, archeological mysteries and astronomical descriptions, linked with very personal experiences Geert de Wilde has had with death and mental pain. Geert: ""Anhedonia" is defined as the inability to experience pleasure from activities usually found enjoyable." The sound of the 12 "Anhedonia" tracks is completely based on the late 80's Korg M1, with only a couple of additional samples. Interesting move you may say.)

Monolith
www.myspace.com/monolith1
( ;D --> Monolith started as a soloproject in 1997, formed by the Belgian electronic music veteran and producer Eric Van Wonterghem (ex-Klinik and member of Sonar and Insekt). After the first release "Compressed form", an ambient_industrial soundscape, the next albums "Tribal globe” and “Labyrinth" are well recieved in the (independent)music magazines and Monolith starts performing live all over Europe, Canada and the USA, the result is the "Disco buddha" clubhit… Monolith produces a experimental sound which is a mixture from industrial, ambient and ebm sounds created with the latest technologies and mixed with lots of outboard analog gear. Repetitive loops, hypnotising electronic sequences and carrying rhythmics take you into a multi-coloured journey through electro and industrial landscapes while each time incorporating new exotic elements and using vocal samples and guest vocalists when relevant. Elaborated electronic music arrangements which speak to both body and mind! Between modern urban dance and cold minimal electro/industrial. The band also welcomes a new member aboard, namely Eric’s wife Hilde Ivens, yes the sister of Dirk Ivens, who adds live vocals as well as live video-mixing.)

Seamlessly bending stylistic constraints by creating a fusion of industrial, break-core, rhythmic noise, psy-trance, electro-acoustic and ambient music; this artistic endeavor sets an exceptional standard in hard, hybrid electronic music.)

Skinny Puppy
www.myspace.com/skinnypuppy
http://skinnypuppy.com

( ;D --> Drawing from the pioneering work of artists like Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, and Suicide, the dark avant-industrial group Skinny Puppy formed in 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Originally a duo comprised of former Images in Vogue drummer cEvin Key (born Kevin Crompton) and Nivek Ogre (aka Kevin Ogilvie), Skinny Puppy followed their debut cassette, Back and Forth, with the EP Remission, the first of many recordings with producer David "Rave" Ogilvie, in 1984. With a squsic uique sound of twisted, metaphorical lyrics combined with technoid madness, shock and terror aestethics with an dystopic, eerie feeling of hopelessness. Skinny Puppy are widely considered the founders of electro-industrial music; forming and cultivating the industrial sound that inspired bands such as Nine Inch Nails, KMFDM and Marilyn Manson.)

DyE has said of 'Taki 183' that it is a personal and progressive urban design' already popular with artists as diverse as James Murphy, DJ Mehdi, Erol Alkan and James Holden. Telepathic guides warning of cosmic threats. Complex machinery replicating human life-form. Toxic rains over entire continents. Unexplained shifts of paradigms and quantum leaps. Random time travel. Artichoke sauce and speculoos. Professional robot-hunters. Trillions of flies. Invisibility discovered. Flourishing DAL music scene. The chemical value of the human body. With this new 'Y2112Y' full length album, 32CRASH opens the door to a parallel 'music' universe where upbeat futuristic electronic tunes led by the unmatchable vocal talent of Jean-Luc De Meyer crash into electric wave vibes with a fresh minimal retro punk touch. A beautiful piece of art on which 3 human beings managed to bridge futuristic technologies with sonic experimentation, an extravagant concept and a strong vocal performance. An album that breathes freshness and freedom and reminds us that art takes another dimension when made with the heart and a solid sense of sarcasm and humor… Simply uplifting!)

It seems that Stefan Poiss, the mastermind behind mind.in.a.box, was getting bored in his studio because now there is a second electronic music project out there penned by him. Big arrangement, sci-fi atmosphere and a very unique sound were the trademarks by mind.in.a.box and made them famous in the Gothic/Electro scene. The sideproject THYX, which was founded by Stefan Poiss in January this year, stays very electronic but gives the sound a more experimental touch without loosing the catchy tunes and atmosphere.)

( ;D --> Danish act Sleep Party People is an utterly beguiling prospect. A solo venture by Brian Batz, both he and those surrounding the project work in mysterious and elusive ways. Batz constantly sports an eerily cute bunny mask, such is his desire for anonymity. But it’s not the mechanics of Sleep Party People that make it so interesting. It’s the songs. It’s near-impossible to describe them individually, because they fit so well together. These songs, ‘I’m Not Human At All’ in particular, are murkily beautiful and haunting, combining the witch-house sensibilities of Salem with the soft delicacy of oOoOO whilst adding something entirely original to them. In short: Sleep Party People is the best new artist of 2011.)

www.blueneck.com
( ;D --> Formed in 2000, Blueneck are a reclusive four-piece based in North Somerset. Beginning their career on the West Country's thriving live circuit, the band steadily dropped conventional gigging in favour of a mostly studio environment, where their music has been allowed to evolve in a direction unrestricted by what can be readily produced on stage. Steering away from structured songwriting, Blueneck's music has developed into a cinematic soundscape of ambient atmospherics, dark skeletal rhythms and swirling crescendos, all created with analogue synths, sparse piano and huge, soaring guitars. Having already produced a series of demos, each one evolving further into atmospheric territory than the last, the band teamed up with producer and musical visionary Corin Dingley for their first full-length album "Scars Of The Midwest". Blueneck operate in a similar post-rock territory to bands such as Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Sigur Ros and Mogwai, but having spent a year and a half locked away recording in the hills of deepest Somerset, they have delivered a dark, dynamic masterpiece which has a sound truly their own.)

After releasing their first album “Breathing avenue” in 2004 they captured the hearts of those, who not only listen to electronic sounds. They offer you danceable, catchy tracks like “Clear” and “High pitched emotions”, but also offer you time for dreaming with “Suffocate” or “Afraid of myself”. Minerve captured Eastern Europe incredibly fast: Their special edition of their debut´s got sell rankings, exceeding world stars. During an interview they´ve even had to enlarge the radio´s hotline capacities, after Daniel´s liveperformace on air. This fact shows, that music made by synthesizers neither necessary has to be chilly electronic nor old-fashioned and artificial.)

( ;D --> iamamiwhoami is an electronic music and multimedia project headlined by Swedish singer-songwriter Jonna Lee. Videos released from the project's YouTube channel have spread virally. The first clip was uploaded on December 4, 2009, and was forwarded to a number of music journalists and blogs. Another two short videos followed. Chris Cantalini and MTV writer James Montgomery reported about iamamiwhoami, fueling speculation online. The project currently consists of three series of music videos and a feature length concert video. The number series, highly stylized teaser videos, set the tone of the project, established several mysteries, and served to foreshadow the projects' complete songs. The letter series is the equivalent of a studio album containing fully realized singles. (Released on iTunes and Amazon.com, each single also bears the phrase "To Whom It May Concern." Several official remixes of the letter songs have also been released.) The letter series serves as the core of the project, and were reiterated as setpieces in the concert. The final set of videos, the date series (their titles correspond to the date on which they were released), set up the webcast concert on November 16, 2010 and had fans elect one of their own to attend the concert. On November 16 at 12:15 CET "In Concert" was webcast; it was removed approximately 4 hours later.)
