The Wire magazine named it their album of the year and it came fifth in the Mixmag 2006 Album of the Year list. On Friday, September 28th 2007, a new Burial album was announced, and Untrue was released 6 weeks later on November 5th. Although both albums have been met with much critical acclaim, Burial remained anonymous until August 2008, stating in a past interview that “only five people know I make tunes”. In February 2008, The Independent reported that Burial was an alumnus of south London’s Elliott School named William Bevan (another alumnus, Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, said in 2006 that Burial was in the year above him). The school’s alumni also include Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet, with whom Bevan has collaborated.)

He has also appeared on records by other artists and worked as a producer, remixer and, more recently, a critcially acclaimed soundtrack composer. As well as his musical output Stapleton is a highly accomplished and renowned painter and sculptor often working under the guise of ‘Babs Santini’. There are now over 50 full-length NWW titles. Stapleton’s eclectic tastes in art, film and music is often reflected in the broad and often unpredictable and unlikely music of NWW, the output of which draws directly on nearly every musical genre imaginable yet consistently retains a distinctively and recognizable Nurse With Wound ‘sound’. Although Stapleton has sole curatorship of NWW, the group has a long and illustrious list of collaborators including Diana Rogerson, Jim Thirlwell (Foetus), David Jackman (Organum), The Hafler Trio, Stereolab, Jim O’Rourke, Sunn O))), William Bennett (Whitehouse), Robert Haigh, Rose McDowall (Strawberry Switchblade), Christoph Heemann, Faust, Annie Anxiety (Crass), Coil, Eberhard Kranemann (Kraftwerk, Neu!), Malian singer/songwriter Boubacar Traoré and, most regularly, David Tibet (Current 93).)

Under this moniker he has made himself a name for diligent sound design and deep electronica. Instead of sonic dabbling, he produces tight and poignant tracks. With “Me.Tem.Psy.Cho.Sis” he has created a very topical electronica album, with plenty of atmospheric moments, also successfully integrating the rhythmic impact of his past projects, the result being quite upfront – IDM with balls.
Totakeke is an acquired taste, but one that’s easy on your buds – if you’re a seasoned electronic music listener.)

In Groups: Ascii Witchcraft, Velvet Underwear. orn late 2012, Ascii Witchcraft is the result of the defying all odds encounter of Yeti Popstar and Meta Fiction around an online poker table earlier that year. After several months and a series of stimulating exchanges, the two embarked on a sensual underground musical journey. Their dark electro based sound is influenced by new wave as well as Detroit techno with some undertones of early Chicago house. Meta Fiction (GR), writes poetry and is the voice of Ascii. The main notions underpinning her artwork and performance are jouissance, eclecticism and subtlety. She works in academia and is currently designing her own fashion brand. Yeti Popstar (BE), is a Brussels based German producer known for his previous project Velvet Underwear and his collaborations with Victoria Lukas (Zerkalo), Shazzula (ex-Aqua Nebula Oscillator) and Hanin Elias (ex-(Atari Teenage Riot). He composes and produces Ascii’s obscure and trippy soundscapes in his home laboratory.)

He's worked with fellow VHS-obsessed labels such as Death Waltz and Crimes Of The Future to issue eight albums and over 10 EPs since 2008. Avrokosm is a cosmic techno imagining of a Dune-like planet. Not Not Fun describes the record's sound in these terms: "Swirling sand dunes of sound, cold tonal winds and veiled loops sweep in across pulsing, runic techno patterns." The artwork for Avrokosm draws on desert planet sci-fi tropes as well as the jackets for peak-era Tangerine Dream, a group Maiof holds in high regard.)
