( ;D --> Chris Clark is an English electronic musician currently signed to Warp Records. With the 2006 release of Throttle Furniture, he shortened his artist name to Clark. Throttle Furniture and Body Riddle were both three years in the making, during which time Clark refined his sound considerably. His meticulous production style makes much use of manipulated live drum samples, which are used to construct complex beats. He performed with a live drummer (often Rob Lee aka Wax Stag).)

( ;D --> Phantom Love is a solo project by Italian experimental artist Valentina Fanigliulo - also known as Mushy. In this project the artist explores her love for electronic music, influenced by a genealogy that connects Carpenter to Mann, Detroit to Rome.
A retro-futuristic production that is equally analogue and digital, haunting and exotic, a sonic sculpture of obsessive arpeggios and reverb-drenched strings.
Tribal and shape-shifting drums structures fight against the liquid interplay and superimposition of cymbals and cowbells delays.)

Leæther Strip

www.leaetherstrip.com
( ;D --> According to founder Claus Larsen, Leæther Strip is, and always will be, only him. Larsen was born on November 13, 1967 in Aalborg, Denmark. He first released music under the name of Leæther Strip in 1989. However, his 1995 release G.A.W.M.U.S. (Getting Away With Murder U. S.) included two early demos from 1982 and 1984, with the latter forming the unknown beginning of the band according to an interview conducted with Claus Larsen. In 1991, Larsen created a side-project called Klute in which he also remained the sole member. It can be argued, and is by many, that the sound of Leæther Strip throughout the early 1990s helped define what is today known as electro-industrial. In a search performed on MySpace on December 1st, 2008, 294 bands had listed Leæther Strip (or "Leather Strip") as a musical influence, although the true number of bands influenced by Larsen's work is undoubtedly much higher. In 1994, Claus Larsen drastically changed the sound of Leæther Strip, with the release of a synthesized semi classical album. Conceived as a soundtrack to a fictional film, it was named Serenade for the Dead. The releases since then have reincorporated electronic dance elements, and have redefined Leæther Strip into what Larsen calls, "symphonic electro".)

www.twitter.com/dirkdadavo
( ;D --> When kindred souls meet across generations, the result of such cultural crossbreeding is often interesting, sometimes good and, if they really connect on different levels, mesmerizing. As is the case for NE, the collaboration between Dirk Da Davo - he of THE NEON JUDGEMENT fame - and RADICAL G - relentless dark techno producer with two albums and a string of EP's under his belt. There is common ground, of course: both already co-produced tracks with the likes of The Hacker, David Carretta and Millimetric, and made applauded appearances on Dave Clarke's 'White Noise Radio' playlists. But perhaps even more significant: both share a dystopian view on present and future, where it's open season for governments and multinational corporations that seem to have received a license to kill the privacy and freedom of the individual, and a mutual sonic understanding that includes pounding beat bonanzas next to brooding krautrock, marshy soundscapes and twisted dub. So yes, it's dark. And loud. But it's a darkness with a loudly beating heart. Pretty? No. Hauntingly beautiful? Absolutely.)

( ;D --> The stars rarely align between Gregor Tresher and Petar Dundov's hectic schedules. But when they do, techno planets collide with explosive results. This earth-shattering production partnership began in 2011 with the still-stunning "Duo Tone" EP on Music Man. A trio of releases have followed during the last three years, including the almighty "Superconductor" on Cocoon 100 last summer. Fresh for 2014, the German/Croatian pact goes next-level with this firing slab of rich, majestic techno on Gregor's own imprint Break New Soil. Living up to its name, "Taurus" ignites with bullish precision. Pummelling with a classic palpitating bass and kick roll, percussive elements are gradually introduced before the shimmering riff enters the fray. Tingling with every twist and tweak, this will raise hairs on the back of every neck with a ten mile radius.)

( ;D --> Gin Devo is a performing artist, musician, modular synthesist and founder/songwriter of the Belgian oldschool electronic cultband“Vomito Negro”. Inspired by Cabaret Voltaire and Kraftwerk. Gin started to experiment in the early 80’s with tapeloops, drumboxes, mono synthesizers and effect driven vocals to create his own electronic music. In the early 90’s Gin graduated at the royal art academy in Antwerp and was student at the Royal conservatory of experimental electronic music. In 2008, Gin decided that it was time to wake up the sleeping beast Vomito Negro and released “Skull & Bones” and “The 2K10 Remakes”. In 2011 “Slave Nation” was released, this album is Gin’s answer to our vanishing freedom in the name of global security and the fake war on terror. In 2012 EK product released Gin Devo’s solo project “Surface”. Surface was recorded in 1988/89, several visual artist used Gin Devo’s electronic soundscapes in Antwerp’s abandoned icefactory, or in Antwerp’s never used metro network to support there works. In May 2012, EK product releases “Errata”. Errata is a rhythmic driven solo project written in 2011. Errata is roldschool, only hardware synthesizers, gate/step sequencers and vintage drum machines are used to compose and record the album. No software plug ins or VST’s are used to create this album.)

bleep.com/release/49560-squarepusher-x-z-machines-music-for-robots
( ;D --> The Z-Machines robots were the result of a project in Japan to create a music performing system that could play music far more complex than even the most advanced human musicians could ever physically be capable of. Squarepusher was one of a number of composers asked to develop music for the Z-Machines to perform and the result was the track 'Sad Robot Goes Funny', an intricate work that took full advantage of the possibilities of working with a guitarist with 78 fingers and a drummer with 22 arms. The EP 'Music For Robots' includes this piece as well as four additional pieces composed a little while after and is stirring and complex work quite as mesmerising as any of Tom Jenkinson's previous projects.)

Kirill Junolainen is finnish/russian electronic musicmaker, graphic designer, film director. Son of a deep underground. Began the first musical experiments in 1989. The first record is dated 1991. Started creativity in industrial music. Was the adherent of DIY culture. In the 90's won glory of the sound experimenter and electromusical nonconformist. Preferred an analog sound of synthesizers and the sound environment of factories and plants. Very often, records and lives that time abounded with the terrible howl, cacophony, sound cannonade also a roar. In the late nineties passed to softer sound. Experiments ended almost. Since the beginning of the 00's he writes down and executes music softer and pleasant for the listeners. Gives preference to such styles as electro/techno/electrodisco/ambient. His modern creativity is filled with beautiful melodies and pleasant sounds. It equally is suitable for sound landscapes of the airport, shop, factory or metro station. projects: Lazer Kontinent, Kuiper Belt, Juno Lazermachine, Vettore Spaziale, East European Alliance, Harlamov, The Arctic Disco Machine, Zeitkapsule, Zeitmodelle, Ridley Slott, Laserama, The Klash, Uutiset, Optical Airlines, Grapefruit Philosophy, Stanley Cubic, Die Rote Jugend, X-Ray Krew. Mondkopf
soundcloud.com/mondkopf
www.myspace.com/mondkopfonthemoon
( ;D --> Mondkopf is a French artist with a German name, which is fitting, given how often his productions play in a middle ground between those two countries' archetypal modes of electronic music. Looked at a certain way, Rising Doom, the 24-year old's latest full-length and first for Fool House, the label imprint of French fashion/mp3 blog Fluokids, borrows the machine muscle of harsh Teutonic techno and leavens it with just a bit of the joviality and melody of French touch.)
Hades
bleep.com/release/49337-mondkopf-hades
www.junodownload.com/plus/2014/02/05/stream-the-new-mondkopf-lp-in-full/
( ;D --> Parisian Paul Régimbeau aka Monkopf returns with another atmospheric LP on his In Paradisum imprint. Hades continues his transition from relatively floor-friendly tech to a much darker, doom-inspired sound. Much of the music here is built around slow, sludgy black-metal riffs and embellished with gothic-inspired touches like organ, choir and trumpet. ‘Here Come The Whispers’ even offers a moment of outright beauty halfway through, when bleak chants fade into melodic strings. For those who fancy bloody, booming Blackest Ever Black-style tracks, there’s bruiser ‘Eternal Dust’, and the club ready one-two of ‘Cause & Cure’ and ‘Immolate’.)

Spurning sterile accuracy and clinically happy tunes for sounds that bring back some of the dirt and darkness that has been swept away of late, these are tracks happy to inhabit the dark corridors of the mind through to large expanses of concrete space waiting to be filled.
