( ;D --> "Two handsome german boys" making in-your-face electro that's as much punk as it is pop. Call it the neu neue deutsche Welle. Melodys drill themselves inside the head, beats forge ahead as piercing vocals meet lovingly produced, minimalistic musical details. Though definitly influenced by 80's New Wave, NDW and Punk, Schwefelgelb transfer these old cliches into something very new via some razor-sharp progressive sounds)

The Glass Beads
https://theglassbeads.bandcamp.com
(;D --> Ukranian Coldwave Duo The Glass Beads invoke sorrowful sounds, both strange and sensual, on their debut LP Therapy, melancholic life stories focused on the search and struggle of trying to find your way as an individual way and to accept yourself. These themes explored on the record are filled with pain and anger as well as hope. The Glass Beads feature the talents of musicians Marina Rublevskaya and Mark Arshynnikov, a pair of musicians whose Slavic features construct an appearance that is altogether commanding, beautiful and timelessly Gothic, yet gracefully tempered with a modern and tasteful style woven between two eras of the centennial: 1920, and now. In collaboration, Marina and Mark conjure melodies that reverberate like footsteps through the hallways of an abandoned house, haunted by memories of love, sickness, and death. Their melodic music is interwoven with sighing keys, palpitating drum machines, sauntering basslines, and disaffected vocals like an east.)

Classically trained on the piano for public performing, Bartholomew deviated from the traditional sounds and began to express the rhythms that sprouted from within him, and Bluetech was born. This resulted in his interpretation of nature's expression of being, a sound that is dronal ambient, downtempo, improvisational. He devoured the electronic potentials for musical expression and conveyed it in IDM, digidub, and psychedelic trance.)

( ;D --> Monolake is an electronic music act based in Berlin. Originally consisting of members Gerhard Behles and Robert Henke, Monolake is now perpetuated by Henke while Behles focuses on running music software company Ableton. In fall 2004, Torsten Pröfrock became a member of Monolake. Monolake's minimal, dub-influenced techno music helped establish the sound of the Chain Reaction label, also located in Berlin, subsequently using their own [ml/i] (Monolake / Imbalance Computer Music) label for the group's output. Both current members have solo projects, with Henke releasing under his own name and Pröfrock as T++ and Various Artists. In 2008 T++ followed Ricardo Villalobos in bridging the gap between minimal techno and dubstep, by remixing Shackleton's Death Is Not Final for the Skull Disco label. In 2009, Robert Henke appeared in the electronic music documentary Speaking In Code which presented the completion of the Monodeck. Monolake is named after Mono Lake, which is east of the Sierra Nevada in California.)

While most associated with IDM (intelligent dance music), Booth and Brown are ambivalent in relating their sound to established genres. Their music has exhibited a gradual shift in aesthetic throughout their career, from their earlier work with clear roots in techno, electro and hip hop to later albums that are often considered more experimental in nature, featuring complex patterns of rhythm and subdued melodies. Autechre have also recorded under various pseudonyms. One of the duo's earliest recordings was a 12" under the alias Lego Feet, released in 1991 on Skam Records. The majority of releases by the mysterious "umbrella project" Gescom, most of them on Skam, have been attributed to Booth and Brown, among other artists.)

He first released music under the name of Leæther Strip in 1989. However, his 1995 release G.A.W.M.U.S. (Getting Away With Murder U. S.) included two early demos from 1982 and 1984, with the latter forming the unknown beginning of the band according to an interview conducted with Claus Larsen. In 1991, Larsen created a side-project called Klute in which he also remained the sole member. It can be argued, and is by many, that the sound of Leæther Strip throughout the early 1990s helped define what is today known as electro-industrial. In a search performed on MySpace on December 1st, 2008, 294 bands had listed Leæther Strip (or "Leather Strip") as a musical influence, although the true number of bands influenced by Larsen's work is undoubtedly much higher. In 1994, Claus Larsen drastically changed the sound of Leæther Strip, with the release of a synthesized semi classical album. Conceived as a soundtrack to a fictional film, it was named Serenade for the Dead. The releases since then have reincorporated electronic dance elements, and have redefined Leæther Strip into what Larsen calls, "symphonic electro".)

( ;D --> Producing sophisticated psychedelic Chill Out music is a discipline within the electronic music scene that is similar to playing Jazz in a certain respect: It needs maturity and extensive musical experience to go beyond the scope of standards, to become really good and extraordinary. This might have to do with the fact that this kind of music is not aiming a busy dance floor, rising its hands and shouting out loud during the breaks. Instead of that, it is made for the individual mind and therefore includes a less functional but pretty intellectual, mature and also very artistic moment. ( ;D --> Matthew Flanagan is an electro head's electro producer, the kind that releases on niche labels catered to people who like exactly that kind of music. Transmuter, the second EP on Rob Booth's fledgling Electronic Explorations label, is easily his most prominent record yet, and it's got a more accessible sound to go with the territory. "Delusional" is all about the bassline. It's a concrete base for the throbbing distorted percussion, and it's got one hell of a hook, too. There's an unusual amount of space in "Drippin," which is mainly to make way for a metalic chord progression. The track fuses techno aesthetics with Drexciya-style synth blasts. Groove is paramount on Transmuter, and the butt-wiggling style is a direct contrast to the more abrasive elements that make up these tracks. It's most apparent on "Skitzo," which smooths out a searing acid line with an easygoing house strut. The excellent EP is rounded off with a brief diversion into wispy ambience that shows off the other aspects of Flanagan's range.)

( ;D --> For over twenty years, Industrial experimentalist aka Suicide Commando has carried the dark electro heritage of acts like Klinik, Front 242 and Skinny Puppy in its heart and musical soul. Bearing these influences on his sleeve Van Roy turned these inspirations into a superb high-octane and highly aggressive, danceable EBM-industrial / dark electro hybrid aiming straight for the club-dancefloors. Over the years Suicide Commando bombed us with numerous clubhits like See you in hell, Desire, Hellraiser, Love breeds suicide, Cause of death:suicide, Bind torture kill … which turned Suicide Commando into one of the dark underground's most beloved dance acts of the last decade. Bombast, extreme power and a critical view on today's society.)

( ;D --> Then Comes Silence are the Swedish captains of postpunk. The quartet from Stockholm is a fresh breeze of gothic renaissance, kicking darkness around with hammering rhythms and melodies that make hearts melt and blood freeze. The fascination for doom and darkness pervade and influence every tune and word. The music of Then Comes Silence takes the listener on a journey from swinging postpunk to the shadows of goth-gaze and into scraps of coal hearted psych. The sharp soundscape is intense, massive and pounding. The lyrics flirt with death and sorrow. It’s goth, psychedelica, rock and post-punk in a symbiosis.)

( ;D --> Autechre is an English electronic music group consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth, both natives of Rochdale, Greater Manchester. Formed in 1987, the duo are one of the most prominent acts signed with Warp Records, a label known for its pioneering electronic music and through which all Autechre albums have been released.

Martial Canterel

martialcanterel.bandcamp.com/
www.facebook.com/M.Canterel
( ;D --> Martial Canterel is the solo project of Brooklyn-based musician Sean McBride (who also performs as half of the duo Xeno & Oaklander). Guardian figure of the new school of analogue electronic music, he has cast his shadow over the entire synth scene of the past 15 years. Crafting his electronic sound in a peculiar intersection between avant-garde and pop, Martial Canterel merges the influences of the first wave of underground minimal electronic bands from northern Europe with seminal industrial noise bands while simultaneously giving nods to the smoothly stylish song craft of early French and British New Wave. Martial Canterel is definitely one of the most talented artist in electronic underground music of our time. Each and every single song of him is just gripping. The music stands in the tradition of the past, but is characterized by a super-intense signature sound which is full of melancholy. The mysterious lyrics and the brilliant voice that seems to be absent and emotional at the same time add to the sinister mood of the tracks. If you are only a little bit into Minimal Wave or Synthpop, you can't ignore Martial Canterel. And if you don't, this could be your entrance ticket into this musical territory!.)
