( ;D --> This is the second album from the strange and twisted world inhabited by Dasha Rush and a bunch of broken sounding machines. While her first album was cast from a more conventional template, “I Run Iron I Run Ironic” comes from a weirder and more interesting place. Like Pole or Pete Namlook if they had a dose of wry feminine humour, Dasha weaves a thread of inky blackness through the many layers of her sonic collage.)

Sopor Aeternus (& the Ensemble of Shadows )

( ;D --> Sopor Aeternus (Latin: "Eternal Sleep") is a darkwave musical project (probably the deepest of dark bands) based in Frankfurt founded in 1989 by Anna-Varney Cantodea. Since the project's beginnings, Anna-Varney's music has gained notoriety for being extremely personalized, melancholic and pessimistic, drawing on a number of different musical and visual styles to be incorporated into her unique and unusual work. Despite years of media attention in Europe, not much is known about Cantodea and her personal life. All known information has been attained from interviews and publications in print. What is established is that Anna-Varney Cantodea is a pre-operative transwoman, and has decided to remain as such, citing "spiritual conflict" if gender reassignment surgery is performed. Sopor Aeternus also credits the Ensemble of Shadows for her inspirations. These are spirits, beings who she says she receives the musical compositions from. She also works through depression with the aid of her music, as can be heard on the demos, produced at a time when she was gravely ill and at risk of losing her eyesight. She describes her subsequent works as "introverted exhibitionism." They are also expressions of extreme, intense pain.

Orridge (from industrial pioneers Throbbing Gristle), Derrick May, Si Begg, Famke Janssen (from the "X-Men" movies), and Mamoru Oshii (the director of the anime classic "Ghost In The Shell").)

( ;D --> B12 Records was founded in 1990 by Mike Golding and Steve Rutter as a vehicle for themselves and other like minded individuals to release electronic music for listening and dancing. Today, B12 Records -- spear-headed by the duo’s common pseudonym “B12” -- has exactly the same goal, to provide quality electronic music for futuristic feet and forward thinking minds.)
