Flavor of the Week #42

Phase Fatale
( ;D --> The name Phase Fatale is gaining more and more attention lately, both in the techno and EBM/industrial scene.  Few artists can bridge these 2 worlds almost seamlessly, while still maintaining an authentic identity and sound that stays with you (or rather haunts you) long after you’ve listened to the releases. Hayden, otherwise known as Phase Fatale, has a sensibility which draws its influences from post-punk, EBM, films and a certain sense of dread and desolation coming from the world around us. When translated into music, the result is a piece of the artist's restless soul.)

Hans Zimmer, Benjamin Wallfisch
( ;D --> If you have been to the cinema or watched a DVD in the last 20 years, it's likely you have heard a Hans Zimmer track. Born in Germany in 1957, the keyboard player and writer began his career in the early 1980's electronic bands Ultravox and The Buggles, and with an Italian new wave band Krisma. His real fame came from his film scores; his first big success was in 1988 with the music for the film Rain Man, which was nominated for an Academy Award. Since then the multi award-winning producer has an extensive list of credits that include The Lion King, Gladiator and The Da Vinci Code. As a tribute to his versatility, his most recent success is the "Spider Pig" tune from The Simpsons Movie.)

( ;D --> Eric Estornel, under the names MAETRIK, MARIEL ITO, MACEO PLEX, and simply ESTORNEL - has been contributing to his musical world around him since 1993. Always searching for the future of electronic dance, Eric has never let himself be confined by the rules of styles or genres as he makes his way through such a political and fickle industry.)
The Return EP

( ;D --> :Wumpscut is an electro-industrial music project from Germany, created 1991 by Bavarian DJ Rudy Ratzinger. :Wumpscut: uses the electronic medium to create a dark body of music that explores the themes of isolation and desperation.)
