Flavor of the Week 1

Kraftwerk
www.kraftwerk.com/
( ;D --> Kraftwerk [ˈkʀaftvɛɐk] is a German electronic music band formed by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider in 1970 in Düsseldorf, and fronted by them until Schneider's departure in 2008. The signature Kraftwerk sound combines driving, repetitive rhythms with catchy melodies, mainly following a Western classical style of harmony, with a minimalistic and strictly electronic instrumentation. The group's simplified lyrics are at times sung through a vocoder or generated by computer-speech software. Kraftwerk was one of the first groups to popularize electronic music and are considered to be pioneers.)

( ;D --> Christian Alvarez is the name of the Asturian producer who hides behind the cables of Another Machines. A life dedicated to the maximum music and studio hours, a life where direct reigns always prevail and production works for events, short films and the odd festival. Another Machines was born after 11 years between machines and synthesizers.)

( ;D --> Aesthetische is the musical return of Fab Viscardi and Gui Pires of Aghast View and Biopsy to the hard industrial dance / electronic scene after a hiatus of almost 8 years! Aesthtetische’s electronic sound aims at diversity on the EBM genre and carries craft and complexity to the composition paired with a well rounded production and modern programming technique. Tracks vary from mid tempo solid EBM to more fast paced outbursts of synth layers and beats. Aesthetische is influenced by all sorts of electronic music, not only hard electronics, but all forms of electronic expression. Influences from Rock, world music, contemporary music also play a part on AE’s sound.)

Troum

( ;D --> one of the most respected artists in the ambient genre - for over two decades german duo troum have taken the clues from their dreams and translated them into a transcending sound of majestic beauty. their drone-based compositions are mostly on the calm and soothing side, but never lack a little edginess and experiment to spice things up.)

Sierra

www.facebook.com/jesuissierra
( ;D --> Sierra has no desire to hide as she wanders through the valley in the shadow of the strange. Sierra’s self imposed exile has taken her through the winter desert, formerly Paris, on a quest. It has been far from straight forward: Land pirates, cannibals, the occult, and former virtual reality junkies desperate for their next hit, all lurk in even the furthest reaches of this vast waste land. Sierra, no matter how arduous this task, the force is too great to resist. To be master is something she cannot walk away from. Our post-apocalyptic world has ravaged life as we remember it, and only a few have the power to lead us to either the light or the dark. Which side is Sierra on? In a land set in a steampunk western, her intentions could go either way.)
