( ;D --> Rammstein was formed in 1993 by an assembly of factory-weary proletarians raised in East Germany. They took their name (adding an "m") from the location of a German tragedy where 80 people were hurt and killed as the result of a crash during an American Air Force flight show. (The literal translation of "ram stein" is a battering ram made of stone.) Word of Rammstein's horror/romanticist blend of theater and music -- one-time Olympic swimmer Till Lindemann would sing entire songs engulfed in flame from head to toe -- spread quickly.)

( ;D --> CUBIC’s sonic identity is often characterised by a good mix of pumping 808 kicks, melodic soundscapes and Düsseldorf percussion all spiced up with hypnotic synths and mind blowing reverb. But the album also reveals other genre explorations like on the track “E”, a pure club hit evoking 90’s trance with a cutting edge à la KÖLSH, the more breakbeat oriented cut “T” and its ORBITAL-like addictive vocal melodic lines, the dark techno pearl “S” and its lush rolling bass lines reinforcing its overall somber atmosphere or yet “G” and its rough and hammering techno body assault evoking GESAFFELSTEIN and other TERENCE FIXMER.)

( ;D -->THETA, Themistoklis Altintzoglou consistently explore the formula of its musical expression, stylistically close to the drone / ambient aesthetics; in this case, it is only a starting point for further excursions to other regions, not so obvious in this genre. The Greek artist with incredible ease juggles rather modest means of expression in order to bring out new, sometimes surprising, or at least not so obvious structures based on a cold, massive, even rough and metallic sound. On this core, individual compositions are embedded, which naturally unfold in different directions, but nevertheless create a coherent but multicolored and intriguing album, where the atmosphere thickens with every minute, where you can clearly feel the Scandinavian cold, and everywhere enveloped in an aura mystery, seasoned with a pinch of post black metal spirit.)
