Jordi's admiration for groups like Depeche Mode and other British synth-pop bands led him to compose some songs in English and dream of forming a group. He shared his musical aspirations and interests with Miguel and two other friends, forming the band "Oberkorn," whose name he took from a Depeche Mode instrumental track. Later, the group was reduced to just the two of them, and the name was shortened to "OBK.")
