Throbbing Gristle (and Carter/Tutti) founded the Industrial music genre and were one of the first bands to successfully fuse electronic and acoustic instrumentation. Their musical legacy is still very much in evidence today. When Throbbing Gristle was terminated in 1981 Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti signed to Rough Trade Records and began recording and performing as CHRIS & COSEY. From the very start they indulgently utilised electronics, sampling, rhythms and Cosey's distinctive vocals, cornet and guitar style. In 1982 (and in collaboration with Rough Trade) they formed their own offshoot record label Conspiracy International (aka: CTI) for their more experimental recordings and collaborative projects. In 1998, they contributed the cover version of “Pornography” to Equinox records compilation “A Tribute To The Cure”. They released 2 demo cds as Wintermute and along the way Evi leaves the band. Noid and Z change the name to Siva Six and at the same time they both tour the world as keyboard players with one of the top Greek bands. Italian label Decadance Records finally sign the band, and in 2005, Siva Six release “Rise New Flesh”. The album stays 4 months at IAC, bullet at DUC and 3 weeks at Metropolis chart sales. They get rave reviews from more than 20 countries, worldwide airplay and they play 19 live shows in Greece and outside of Greece too, 32 european live shows with mortiis and gothminister are cancelled plus the support slots with ministry and juno reactor In November of 2006, they release their 2nd fullength cd “Black Will”. The album reviews are once again excellent and the album manages to climb at number 1 at IAC , stays 10 weeks at GAC and 6 consecutive weeks at GEWC with the stand out track “Her Eyes Black”! At the end of 2006, Noid quits and he’s replaced by U-RI. Plenty of Siva Six shows will happen during of 2007 in Greece and many European countries too. ( ;D --> Velvet Acid Christ had their origins in an 80's high school electronics class, where Bryan and Chris would debate the merits of Amiga versus Atari. Bryan and Grigory Bilham (an early member of VAC) were at the time working in a punk/funk band, which, by 1990, was altered to the trio of Bryan, Chris, and Grig. The band's name was originally Cyberchrist, although this was changed within a few months to Velvet Acid Christ, named (so they say) in honor of a bad acid trip. Grig left the band in 1992, leaving the core of Bryan and Chris (although various other people have had revolving door membership in the band). Bryan and Chris cite a number of influences to their hard driving industrial sound, including Legendary Pink Dots, the Cure, Skinny Puppy, Orbital, and a surprising number of metal bands, including Napalm Death, Godflesh, and Metallica. They also expose a number of social issues, including animal rights and their concern regarding the basic survival of mankind against the onslaught of technoloy. VACs masterpiece and most recent full-length CD release Lust For Blood is possibly VACs most complete and diverse album in the past ten years. Lust For Blood is an aggressive return for one of electronic music’s most prolific artists. Angry and other times haunting vocals are forged to incessant beats, permeating melodies, and relentless bass lines. As an homage to early electronic music, guitars are once again introduced into the mix of patches, pads and circuits.)

Intended as a demo, it caught the attention of infamous UK label Skam —but after months of fruitless phone tag with the label, it was time for Gregory De Rocher to strike out on his own. Dropping his Pest(e) moniker in favour of Lowfish, in 1997 De Rocher co-founded Suction Records with like-minded producer Jason Amm, aka Solvent. While that Test(e) tape wasn’t technically a Suction Records release, it served as the impetus for starting the label, and we’ve always referred to it as catalog # suction000.)
