Flavor of the Week #38

Aesthetische

www.facebook.com/aesthetische
( ;D --> Aesthetische is the musical return of Fab Viscardi and Gui Pires of Aghast View and Biopsy to the hard industrial dance / electronic scene after a hiatus of almost 8 years! Aesthtetische’s electronic sound aims at diversity on the EBM genre and carries craft and complexity to the composition paired with a well rounded production and modern programming technique. Tracks vary from mid tempo solid EBM to more fast paced outbursts of synth layers and beats. Aesthetische is influenced by all sorts of electronic music, not only hard electronics, but all forms of electronic expression. Influences from Rock, world music, contemporary music also play a part on AE’s sound.)

Embryoid
www.facebook.com/pages/Embryoid/171074746273840
( ;D --> Embroid immediately brings the listener into a powerful sound universe driven by elements of dark-electronics and EBM. It’s a rather classical electro formula, but the album makes sense for featuring multiple alluring cuts. Embryoid sounds powerful and extremely cold. A few songs remind me –especially for the bass lines to Leather Strip and that’s much more than simply a reference. Embryoid is not innovating, but simply composing an alluring work. The songs are well-crafted and the global production is mature. I also like the vocals production, which is moving in between typical hard and distorted parts and spookier, whispering parts.)

( ;D --> Expect sounds from all points of the spectrum, each remixer has pushed 'Tombs' into new experimental realms, from granular ambient sonics, through fear inducing raw noise and percussive beat loops, to majestic life-affirming dronescapes. In the treatments of their track, each artist showcases their own approach whilst highlighting the uniqueness of Moon Zero's sound.)

( ;D--> The 'Tombs Remixes' EP is a collection of eight re-workings of tracks from Moon Zero's debut release 'Tombs' released earlier this year. Recorded in St George In The East Church in Shadwell, London, Tim's processed organ sound ranges from atmospheric ambience to industrial noise-drone, layered into stunning phrases with tints of melody. Work began on the remix project soon after the release of 'Tombs' with Tim bringing together eight excellent artists to put their own mark on one of the four drone-scapes.)Tombs

( ;D --> Kommand+Kontrol was built from fragments of an industrial metal band. The 2 members, Terminal & Virus, have been in the EBM / Industrial scene since the very early days and this is reflected in their style of music. Heavily electronic, aggressive, but danceable EBM with depth.)

( ;D --> Swedish composer Daniel Segerstad aka SYNC24 presents his second solo album [ Comfortable Void ], a fresh dive into deep downtempo and acid ambient soundscapes.
After the much acclaimed release of [ Source ] in 2007 and two outstanding albums with his other project Carbon Based Lifeforms,
Daniel Segerstad immersed himself in his studio and adsorbed his musical influences to compose a truly intimate and picturesque album.
In a continuous mix of 10 tracks, crispy electronica flirts with soothing ambient, floating atmospheres and melodies take root in finely crafted synth textures while pulsating bass line and warm rhythms set the pace of this multidimensional musical journey.)
