( ;D --> Jamie Vex'd slips into his Kuedo moniker for a delightfully wonky mix of bass music.Even if you only have a passing interest in the more sub-heavy end of dance music, chances are you'll have heard of Vex'd. Jamie Teasdale and Roly Porter's fusion of dubstep with industrial and UK rave music on 2005's Degenerate album paved the way for countless international and festival appearances. Tiring of the hectic schedule and life in London, the pair decided to move from the city in early '07, with Roly heading west to Bristol and Jamie jetting to Berlin. Unfortunately, this meant that producing collaborative Vex'd material for their planned second album was a slow and difficult process, and they consequently decided to each focus on their own solo material. Jamie has been the more prolific of the two thus far, again aligning himself with Mike Paradinas' Planet Mu imprint for 12-inches both as Jamie Vex'd, and more recently under his new Kuedo moniker. The recent material has seen Teasdale move away from the dark and industrial dubstep sound of Vex'd, instead taking inspiration from the new wave of off-kilter beatsmiths that have emerged in the post-Dilla era.)

Singer, composer and actress in El Nino de la Luna (a film which she also scored), Lisa brings a vision that is both precise and all-embracing to everything she does.
It is a musical journey that began in the early 1980s when she and fellow Australian Brendan Perry formed Dead Can Dance, one of the world's most original bands whose proud boast is that they never fitted into any neatly manufactured genre or predefined pigeonhole.
With Lisa's otherworldly voice counter-poised by Brendon's mellifluous tones, from the outset, they thought nothing of setting discordant electric guitars and dark, rolling bass lines against cellos, trombones and timpani. Over nine albums between 1984 and 1995, the duo's musical canvas expanded with every release to take in a timeless mix of world music influences, medieval chants, folk ballads, baroque stylings, Celtic flavours, electronics, samples and anything else that took their fancy.)

In 1991, Larsen created a side-project called Klute in which he also remained the sole member. It can be argued, and is by many, that the sound of Leæther Strip throughout the early 1990s helped define what is today known as electro-industrial. In a search performed on MySpace on December 1st, 2008, 294 bands had listed Leæther Strip (or "Leather Strip") as a musical influence, although the true number of bands influenced by Larsen's work is undoubtedly much higher. In 1994, Claus Larsen drastically changed the sound of Leæther Strip, with the release of a synthesized semi classical album. Conceived as a soundtrack to a fictional film, it was named Serenade for the Dead. ( ;D --> 2010 release, the 13th studio album from the Goth legends, their first new album in six years. Death Trip features 10 original songs recorded in Hallucinosound. Self-written, self-produced and self-financed, Death Trip is a truly independent release from a totally independent band. This album is 100% Alien Sex Fiend's own creation! The album is a B movie sci-fi / horror concept, each track with a connection to the next, covering a diverse sonic spectrum from old skool Fiend sound to Punk and Industrial to current cutting edge.)

( ;D --> Acid Bath is without a doubt a shining example of how Alien Sex Fiend sets the standard for the "Goth" genre of music. From beginning to end the album constructs a dark, melodic tone that resonates with tracks like "She's a Killer" and "Breakdown and Cry". The truly haunting synthesizer and audio effects coupled with lead singer Nik Fiend's eerie vocal range provides a unique experience on every track.)

Eric is now in charge of three highly respected labels whose releases are in feverish demand, consistently selling huge quantities of vinyl which is truly incredible in the markets current climate. The labels are arguably proving to be the most successful and forward thinking imprints currently existing. Each label was strictly developed to give Eric a platform to release his own productions without outside interference, simply his music on his terms. It was important for Eric to step back after his previous successes and release music without schedules and pressure. Ultimately he wanted to control his own image and destiny, something extremely important to him and his career. The ethos behind the labels was truly underground, scarcely any promotion, no press intrusion and true label design/identity... a formula which has proven massively successful.)

Not that this is music for the light-hearted, the world of Haus Arafna is merciless, full of urban nightmares. It reminds of vague B-movies, through its strange samples, screams, sounds and graphics. Misanthropy and hate are the main themes here. The 'band' consists of Mr. Arafna (electronics, vocals, programming) and Mrs. Arafna (realism, vocals, structuring).)

Having always been projecting himself into the future throughout his impressive career and discography, Gary Dassing once again carries us away from the beaten path, bringing us this time closer to the darkest side of the Moon than to the core of the Earth... Avant-garde per definition and dense and powerful per nature, Mentallo & The Fixer's new album offering is challenging the listener with its ultra-complex synth arrangements layered on devastating upbeat sequencer rhythms and haunted distorted vocals. Enlightenment Through A Chemical Catalyst is one hell of an album. It will make your head turn and will guarantee many disturbing listenings!
